Who is Bertzman?
The name Bertzman is a mash-up of the last names of Neil Berman and Linda Heitzman, a husband and wife team. Bertzman Social Ventures is a merging of their passion and professional experience. Neil, an accountant by training, bootstrapped a software company and completed a successful sale to an industry leader. Linda’s experience spans government, management consulting and leading a global health NGO. They are leveraging their talents, time and resources from the sale of Neil’s business to assist entrepreneurs working in the social sector, providing both social impact investing and consulting. Meet Neil Berman
Co-Founder
Neil is known for his servant leadership style which grows and nourishes teams to reach their highest potential. He has a deep understanding of software technology, digital marketing, strategic planning, business development and financial management.
Neil, a licensed certified public accountant, found that he had an entrepreneurial drive. Consequently, left his profession to form several businesses culminating with Delivra, a marketing software company which he grew over 18 years until its recent acquisition by an industry leader.
Having successfully navigated the challenges an entrepreneur faces in building a viable organization that fills the needs of multiple stakeholders, Neil is ready for his next challenge - to bring his skills and work history to bear on global social opportunities.
Meet Linda Heitzman
Co-Founder
Linda is known as a creative, strategic leader who leverages her personal and professional experiences to build lasting relationships, solve tough problems and to identify and seize strategic opportunities. She has a long history of providing strategic advice to support profitable growth through market expansion and organizational effectiveness. She has advised a wide range of organizations from Fortune 50 life science and healthcare companies to an international non-governmental global health organization.
Linda recently retired from Project HOPE where she served as the Executive Vice President of Global Health. Prior to joining Project HOPE, Linda held senior positions at both Deloitte Consulting LLP and Ernst & Young Management Consulting after beginning her career in public service.
Bertzman Social Ventures is the realization of Linda’s dream to leverage her professional experience and personal passion to make the world a better place.
